Private or Login-Required Video
SaveVideoKit cannot process private, friends-only, members-only, subscription-only, or other login-gated videos. The service does not request or reuse your platform account credentials, so the source must expose the media publicly to the server.
Last reviewed: 2026-10-28 · Service version: 0.0.14
How to recognize this limitation
- The video opens only after signing in.
- The post belongs to a private account, private group, Close Friends list, or members-only channel.
- The source displays an age, subscription, or account verification gate.
- A link works in your logged-in app but fails in a private browser window.
What you can do
If you own the content, use the platform's official export or download option while signed in. If another person owns it, ask them for the original file or permission to access it.
Do not send passwords, cookies, session tokens, or account exports to SaveVideoKit. The public tool does not need them and does not advertise a private-content workaround.
