SaveVideoKit

Available Video Quality

SaveVideoKit cannot guarantee 1080p, 4K, or another fixed resolution for every URL. The source platform and uploader determine which streams are publicly available, and the service prefers the best compatible MP4 video and M4A audio combination it can access.

Factors that change quality

  • The resolution and codec originally uploaded by the creator.
  • Whether the platform exposes separate high-resolution video and audio streams.
  • Account, region, age, or rights restrictions on a particular rendition.
  • Whether a compatible MP4/M4A combination exists for the URL.
  • Platform-side transcoding and changes to publicly exposed formats.

How quality claims are written

Platform pages use the wording 'best available MP4 stream (source dependent)' instead of promising a fixed resolution. A specific resolution should be published only when repeatable testing supports that narrower claim.
