How SaveVideoKit Works
SaveVideoKit processes one public video URL at a time. It reads the media information exposed by the source, selects compatible MP4 video and audio streams when available, processes the file on the server, and returns a temporary download link. Finished files are scheduled for automatic deletion after two hours.

Processing flow
- The user submits an http(s) video URL from a supported platform.
- The service reads public metadata and available media formats without requesting the user's platform credentials.
- For the normal video option, the service prefers compatible MP4 video and M4A audio streams and merges them when required.
- The finished file is placed in temporary object storage and a time-limited download link is returned.
- The file key includes its expiration time and a cleanup process removes expired objects after the two-hour retention window.
Why results vary
The source platform controls which streams are publicly exposed. Resolution, audio, codec, regional access, and login requirements can therefore differ between two URLs from the same platform.
SaveVideoKit reports source-dependent limits instead of guaranteeing a fixed resolution or claiming access to restricted content.
Privacy boundary
The service needs the submitted URL to process a request. It does not ask for a TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, X, Reddit, Vimeo, or Dailymotion password. Finished files are temporary rather than a permanent public archive.
